In Hong Kong, in connection with a new wave of riots, the movement of subway trains was stopped.
The Hong Kong subway operator said the decision to stop the subway was made after protesters fired at subway stations the day before, and another person got a gunshot wound during a clash between protesters and police.
"Since we are no longer able to provide passenger safety and reliable service under such conditions, we had no choice but to close the entire metro", the MTR said. |
