Samsung has decided to go even further: the new patent is a model with an integrated spectrometer.
A sophisticated optical device can perform several functions: from determining fresh products to diagnosing malignant tumors. The document, published on September 26, registered a smartphone with an IR spectrometer. According to the LetsGoDigital website, the new product will debut as the Galaxy S11, although this information has not even been confirmed by users. Using an unusual device, you can measure the humidity of an object, the heart rate, determine the freshness of the product and determine the level of sugar available in it.
In addition, the device can provide comprehensive information on the content of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in them. Other features seem unbelievable: including the detection of malignant tumors and the cleanliness of the surrounding air.
According to the patent, the spectrometer can be located both on a smartphone and on the screen. Previously, a similar gadget called «Changhong H2» was presented at CES 2017, which then went on sale in China and the United States. The spectrometer made it possible to succeed in using a microscopic sensor.
