Seven people were injured as a result of the shooting in a park on a children's playground in Chicago, the local NBC television station said, citing police officials.
The incident occurred at 1:20 local time. Unknown opened fire from a black Chevrolet Camaro.
This is the third case of shooting in the US per day. Earlier, as a result of an attack on a Walmart shopping center in Texas, 20 people were killed, 26 injured, many of them in serious condition in hospitals.
The shooter is detained: it turned out to be 21-year-old white American Patrick Krusios. Prior to the attack, he posted a manifesto on Twitter supporting the terrorist attack in a mosque in New Zealand in March, and stated that U.S. culture and economy are suffering from migrants.
After that, shooting occurred in Ohio, killing nine people, another 26 were injured. |
